“Whatever you do, do it with style!” says Brenda Cooper, television’s pre-eminent fashion expert and image consultant when talking about her approach to awakening a person’s sense of self through clothing, color, and confidence.
Many know and trust Brenda as the co- host on “E! Fashion Emergency” and ABC’s “Extreme Makeover” where she takes people from drab to dramatic. But her small screen style makeovers reflect only a portion of her versatile talent. This London born style expert, former model, and working mom won an Emmy Award for her costume design talents on the hit T.V. series “The Nanny” and today is also a popular corporate spokesperson.
Brenda’s mission is to unravel the mystery of fashion and make it available to anybody on any budget whether they are a size 2 or 22. She has dressed Hollywood’s fashion elite and has shared her “insider knowledge” with loyal viewers through her television shows and personal appearances. She says, “There’s an art to mixing colors, fabrics, and personality. But it’s pure magic when I see people react positively to how they look and feel about themselves.”
Brenda’s sense of style and humor, combined with her encyclopedic knowledge of clothes and impressive credentials rate high with viewers, so high that she has appeared on E!, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, CNN, and The View to name a few. But she’s more than television’s pre-eminent fashion guru. Her advice on how to use fashion to change your image, improve your self-esteem, and as a tool for selfmotivation has been featured in national publications such as In Style, Self, Allure, People Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Post and In Touch.
Whether she’s hunting for shoe samples in Paris or T-shirts at Target, Brenda is always seeking out new products and new ways to update classic looks. When she strikes gold, she promotes them with a passion. Her zeal to share her style secrets has lead her to the role of corporate spokesperson. When invited to represent Sara Lee’s Barely There line of apparel and Dupont’s Lycra, she jumped at the chance saying, “I love these products and how they can transform any wardrobe and improve any figure.” As the spokesperson for Barely There, she partnered with the celebrity magazine giant, People Magazine and toured the United States hosting fashion shows where she brought a little Hollywood glamour to people across the country.
Brenda loves hosting television’s fast-paced, top-rated fashion focused shows and news segments. She also loves the give and take of speaking to groups and sharing her recognized and sought after fashion sense about image making and self-esteem. Brenda enjoys giving her spare time to charitable organizations that focus on children’s issues. She is mother to two very active sons, and loves living an outdoor lifestyle in Los Angeles.
A Testimonial By A Student of Brenda's:
"I had a lot of fun at the training, and found Brenda to be an excellent teacher - she is so enthusiastic about the Color Analysis, and has a real knack for explaining things in a way that makes total sense. For example, she imparts great tips for how to discern a color that works vs. a color that does not, and she reinforces that information regularly so it sticks! Being at her studio was so much fun. The educational materials are very helpful too. And knowing my colors - wow! - that has been so cool. I have enjoyed clothes shopping even more since getting my color palette (Soft Summer) ... and wearing my colors feels so self-nourishing."
