Color Mixing and Matching II
Course Description:
This course will familiarize you with all of the pigments at your disposal, their relationship to the spectral hues, and explain how and when they should be used in a color composition and work of art.
You will be mixing and matching beautiful earthen tones, browns, grays, blacks and flesh tones with the spectral hues and then matching those again with the other available pigments that can be used as more direct substitutes. Understanding a particular pigment's relationship to your entire work of art is the ultimate goal in the mastery of color mixing.
Mixing and matching instruction will be continued by matching the colors of the earth, the colors of vegetation, trees and flowers, the beautiful complementary colors of birds, the iridescent colors of fish, the monochromatic colors of animals, and the beautifully varied color tones of the human being.
A study of the safety precautions affiliated with pigments, and their natural and chemical characteristics will be covered in detail.
This course will give you the mastery of pigments you have always yearned for. It is a must for any successful artist.
