Holistic Color Harmony I

The eminent French chemist, M. E. Chevreul compared the sensation of color to the sensation of taste. He stated:

"The pleasure we experience, in this case through the agency of the organ of sight from the actual impressions of colours, is quite analogous to that experienced through the medium of taste from the actual sensations of agreeable savours."

There are either agreeable or disagreeable, attractive or unattractive color arrangements. There is either harmony or discord.

The artistic principles of color harmony are used by artists, designers, architects, workers in ceramics, glass, textiles, gardeners, floral arrangers, image consultants, and cosmetologists, just to name a few. However, holistic health care practitioners are now realizing the therapeutic value of color harmony in the lives of their patients, and color therapy today is the fastest growing natural health treatment of this new millennium. The study of color harmony has tremendous value for everyone!

This course teaches the unique human sensation of beauty, which implies harmony.
