The Color Yellow and the Human Being

Yellow is a combination of the RED & GREEN rays and therefore is both stimulating and regenerating. Yellow is very advantageous for the nerves and the brain bringing a sharpening of the mental abilities. In Color Therapy it is used for psychological problems like melancholy, depression and world-wariness. Standing for lightness and cheerfulness it enlivens and comforts. Yellow carries additional physical benefits in its effects on the nutritional organs; the liver, intestines, stomach, spleen and bladder. Purification and elimination through the liver, color and skin are promoted by the Yellow ray.

Yellow light at 590 nm is used for its healing, draining and detoxifying properties.  It is absorbed by the body fluids in the lymph and blood circulatory systems and promotes wound healing.  Yellow light also increases lymphatic flow to evacuate more wate products and boosts cellular activity.

  • Located deep within the abdomen behind the stomach.
  • The pancreas is responsible for producing juices and enzymes that aid in digestion and are imperative for maintaining ideal health.
  • The pancreas also produces insulin which regulates sugar levels within the blood.

Possible diseases/disorders resulting from pancreas malfunction:

  • Diabetes mellitus – This includes both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Diabetes occurs when insulin is not sufficiently used by the body, either because there is a deficient production of insulin, or sufficient insulin is being produced but is inaccessible to the body. Regardless of the reason, the fact is the blood is not receiving the necessary amount of insulin it needs to regulate blood sugar levels. If not monitored, diabetes can lead to many health complications and death.
  • Acute pancreatitis – This condition occurs when the pancreas becomes suddenly and severely inflamed due to causes such as extreme alcohol ingestion, medications, trauma, gallstones, etc.
  • Chronic pancreatitis – condition that occurs when the pancreas becomes inflamed from prolonged alcohol abuse.
  • Pancreatic enzyme deficiency – A condition that is caused by insufficient production of digestive enzymes that are required to breakdown fat and food within the pancreas. This condition can occur from trauma or infection.
  • Pancreas tumor – Tumors within the pancreas may be benign or cancerous. Benign tumors are usually non-threatening. However, in some cases these tumors may secrete hormones such as insulin. This may cause excessive production of insulin which will not be absorbed by the blood and can cause low blood sugar levels. Cancerous tumors are difficult to treat. Surgery is usually the only affective method.
